Handcrafted Kantha Saree: Contemporary Jamdani with Kantha

Fabric: a blend of three varieties of silk, Mulberry silk, Resham silk, and Matka silk.
Work: The first half of the saree has a contemporary handwoven Jamdani motif. Inside this jamdani motif are a tapestry of various Kantha knots. From pleats onwards the saree is plain with a unique self-on-self texture from the Matka silk yarns.
Length: 5.5 meters + 1 meter blouse piece
Width: Approximately 47 inches
Blouse Piece: Yes, a 1-meter running blouse piece with Kantha embroidery on the back and sleeves.

This saree is a breathtaking fusion of Jamdani and intricate Kantha embroidery, The design is woven using the traditional Jamdani weaving technique. This kind of Jamdani is practiced on this side of Bengal. We have used various forms of Kantha knots including some rare stitches to embroider the insides of the Jamdani motifs.  This piece is truly exclusive and the only one made till now.
